A friend of mine attended and sent me these photo's.  His birthday party was today.  Leo looks to be in pretty darn good shape for being 100.

He had one wish I understand and that was to have a naked girl jump out of his birthday cake.  They did not go that far, but did have a girl in a bikini!

The hands playing the electric piano are those of Bob Heil.  I need to split up the attachements into 2 groups since the size is a bit much.  Check out the next posting for the final 2 pictures.

Regards,
Joe, W3GMS

A babe in a bikini and red high heels. That's they way to celebrate a birthday!

Heh, heh. I'll bet that added a little 'current', (Timtron aside), to the final and raised the vertical.  Cheesy

That is so cool that he has hit the mighty century mark. He looks great and is wearing some classy attire as well. I hope Leo is able to see many more birthdays ahead.

In those snapshots he looks just like he did in the thumbnail in the WRL ads.

Proof enough that all the paranoia about non-ionising rf radiation exposure might be bogus.

Don,
I thought the same thing when I saw the picture of Leo.  I understand that he wife passed away some time ago and that he has a lady caretaker to care for him.  As a kid I sure bought a lot of small stuff from WRL. I could not afford any of the rigs but I could buy parts to build stuff. Not many people make it to 100 these days and it appears he has a pretty good quality of life.  Not to shabby!

I sent him a Happy Birthday qsl card and mentioned that I was using a GK500.

Still works great after all these years.
