We made contact.. That was cool.. But me on 80 watts and you on low power is not good enough for rag chewing.  Wanna try another band?

Cool Clark, nice to work you even if it was very briefly and on sideband.  Something isn't right with the SB-200 on 10 meters.... It seemed to perform okay, BUT I started smelling some burning plastics, not sure what was going on.  KC7ZON came on after I lost you and said I went from S1 to S5 when I kicked on the amp and we carried on for a couple minutes, but I had shut down the amp....strange, wonder what could be heating up like that only on 10 meters.

If you're up early early morning, I'd be glad to try some 40 meter with ya maybe around midnight or 1 am your time on 7.290 or 7.293.... Frank, WA2JBT and I have been carrying on some mornings there and we had arm chair AM copy with 20db over 9 signals.  He's in NJ and it sure beat trying to copy through all the static on 75 meters.

Hmm.. My only real options at the moment are 80, 40 and by some kinda of chance magic, 10 meters SWR was not so bad that I couldn't use it.

I can actually do low power (100 watts) AM/SSB with the ricebox and it's internal tuner on most bands.

well.. You shot way up in signal out here towards the end.. S7+.. But then you said something was getting hot and you had to shut down.. LOL.

I only had a 100 watt FT450 for 10 meters.   For kicks.. Try 7293...  I am monitoring now.. AM
