it's only 13 miles away from the house, so we gotta go.  Roll Eyes Wx is cloudy and later today supposed to rain like hell.

if I score any good cheap swag, I'll snap a pic or two and post the junk.

For the life of me I can't see the value of hauling truck loads of old computer junk to flea markets. These guys next to us had a big box truck. I looked at some of the machines and saw 400 and 800 MHz dells. WTF would want that old stuff. Imagine the hours wasted cleaning and loading all that crap that could be stripped out for metal. Still they keep coming and setting up.

I was at the (Middletown PA) Warminster Club Hamfest (35 min from home).  So small, I got back home in time to go to church.

Got a 250H slug.  I've had a Bird with a VHF slug for like 4 years waiting for a reasonable price on an H slug.

Also got some antenna wire so I can put up some REAL (dipole) antennas.  G5RV not cutting it.

I was going to go, but Saturday night weather sites claimed rain early on, so I stayed home and slept for an extra 3 hours. Sounds like I didn't miss anything. Well, I'll just have to take all my great parts, tubes, and stuff to Dayton to find them new homes.

There was a "tailgate party" in a church parking lot about 10 miles from here, put on by the local radio club.  It was supposed to run from 8 to 2, but when I woke up at about 7:30 the bottom was falling out and it poured rain for  the next hour.  By the time I had eaten breakfast and read the newspaper the rain  had stopped, but it still looked misty and gloomy, so I showed up about 10 AM.  There were only two cars there, and one was already packing his stuff.  The other one had some old CB junk and an ancient Heathkit amp that looked like it had been sitting in the landfill for the past 5 years.  If I hadn't needed some other stuff in town anyway, it would have been a totally wasted trip.  In years past, they  have put on some decent hamfests.  I suspect the weather kept most people away.
