the lacquer top coat gets shot on in the am today. The black is on and drying for 24 hours.

the matchbox guts and the front and sides will mate up tomorrow, hopefully for life. I just want it out of the way and ready to go.

amp pi net coils with all bandswitching crap, straps, and junk removed in front of official station mascot.

It's been...Derbafied!! Shocked

Coming along nicely, Tim. Looking forward to the day you get it all lashed together and start ripping up the ionosphere on a regular basis.

I'm betting it will look really hip with the clear lacquer clearcoat. Finishing the new front was hard as hell. Heavy gauge steel. Aluminum was too expensive.

Well, the Dave Made maul is due to be finished next. put the new cap bank in, wire up a tank circuit, new loading cap, new plate choke, some Measures mods and see if I can boil the oil out of my 500 watt termaline.

then we got a W7FG antenna gots to go back up!

I like the way the outer coil support is made. Also the red sealer adds alot of classicalness. I don't think you will be blowing that unit up.
