So far, the weather's looking good. I will be there both days, riding up with a friend on Friday, but not selling anything myself, and then with my own truck and my wife on Saturday, possibly selling a few things. She'll be selling her crocheted stuff, as usual.
Good weather, good company, lots of stuff we don't need; what could be better?

Okay, while the forum is up, a brief Nearfest report. The weather forecast was flawless for a good ten days prior to the event. The forecast is usually a bit questionable right up until the last day. The turnout was great on Friday, probably because of the promising forecast. Honestly, I was just a bit disappointed in Saturday's turnout, but it was still fine.
The local AM crowd was well represented. Great to see:
Steve, WA1QIX
Carl, WA1KPD
George, N2LJO
Ross, W1EKG
George, W1LSB
Dan, W1DAN
Chris, AJ1G
Larry, NE1S
Brown, W1NZR
Mark, WA2FXM
Bear, WB2GCR
I didn't go to the AM Dinner, but I heard it was well attended. One of these days I'll go; it's just that it would make for a very long day, since I go back down to CT Friday evening so that I can go back up with my wife on Saturday. Some year I'll talk my wife into spending the night at a B&B or something, and we'll both go to the dinner.
I don't usually sell much at hamfests, but this time I felt the need to make some space in my shop, so I unloaded a few things, including my Ranger, a nice HQ-170, a couple of tube testers, a Browning Golden Eagle MK4A receiver, and a Knight TR-106 6-meter AM rig.
Bought only a few items, which was great since I'd sold the other gear in order to make room in my shop. Found a very nice, and huge, isolation transformer rated at 2KVA for either 120 or 240v, and an excellent rolling rack cabinet, which will eventually house a power-supply/modulator built around the Gates BC-1T mod and plate iron I brought home from a past Nearfest.
My wife, as usual, had a great time selling her crocheted goodies. All in all, a fine Nearfest, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Thanks once again to all the Nearfest staff for making this excellent event possible!
