where are the AM windows? arrl planned band?

Gee, I can't see where the new or current ops can find AM or FM on the so called band plans?  (example:50.4, AM, and it works thru an aurora too)  1880-1900,1945, 3875-3890,7275-7295,14.285, 18.150 21.3 24.985 29.0-29.2 50.35-50.6 (50.4 main) 144.425 etc most likely there are a few more I missed. I can't count the times I've been the FIRST AM qso with a station that has been on for years and didn;t have the pleasure of AM due to the arrl 's 'band plan' (they never asked you did they?) 73's

There really are no "AM Windows" on the bands in the 21st century. The "AM Window" was a 70's tag  propagated by several teenage AM operators and it really only applied to 75 meters.
AM operation is permitted anywhere in the phone portion of a band. Why limit yourself to some small sliver of frequency? Makes no sense.

And, if an operator can't find or identify an AM signal when tuning around the band, he/she needs to improve their operating and receiver management skills.

The ARRL has identified some "calling frequencies" many years ago on various bands, but here in the 21st century, they are generally ignored or really make no sense.
