This Saturday, the New England Wireless and Steam Museum, in Greenwich, RI, will host the third recent hamfest event at that location. It was a regular event, from what I hear, a number of years ago, but apparently went on hiatus for a while.
Attendance was a little weak last year, so I hope more folks show up this time around. They've got room for an almost Nearfest sized event, in a big open field. The Museum itself, for those who've never seen it, is very much worth the trip in its own right

Well, it wasn't a bad day at all. Nothing to rival Nearfest, of course, but the turnout was probably a bit better than last year. Misty fog in the morning, but the sun burned it off later.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Carl, WA1KPD, so far from home, and Grant, KC1OMA, went home with the "naked" Ranger that I picked up at Nearfest this spring. I really had no use for it, but couldn't bear to just part it out, so I was very happy to see it go to a good home.
Unloaded my Viking Challenger, too; another spring Nearfest purchase that I later had buyer's remorse over. Sold it for a lot less than I paid for it, but that's the price I pay for impulsive buying.
Now, it's up at 0200 in the morning and off to Sussex!
