There have been some nice openings on the high bands the past several nights, particularly 17 & 20 meters, into Europe and Middle East.

15 meters was great. Work 7 AM stations in Europe around 1PM EDST in just 10 minutes.

The SFI has been WAY up and the solar winds low. Conditions have been excellent. I need to get on the air more. Sad

Yep. The lower bands suck as you would expect during the summer months but bands between 6 and 20 meters have been boiling with activity. I spun my knob on the radio so much it fell off.  Cheesy  If you're an "AM only" kind of person, get on and make some noise. No need to wait till September or October.

I was going to use that but there are no contests listed (even stupid ones) for this date unless he's referring to the ARRL Centennial W1AW WAS operations taking place throughout 2014 from each of the 50 states, but that's on hiatus until July 16. Only Dave knows for sure what he is talking about.

Lightning.

Sounds like low bands sometimes.
