my parents bought that complete station for me when I was a teen. I never got the license and the equipment disappeared.

I see these come up for sale on other sites than Ebay.  The price you show is way more than the sales I have seen over the last year.  Keep your eye on one that's listed on QTH.com.

Most recently, they have sold within the past 6 months in the 125.00 range and in very good shape.

The DX-60A was my first real transmitter.  I still use one on SKN and have a blast with it.

Can't decipher the operating mode. Running in Transmit? Without  a load? Plate current pinned? Used to work for me with my DX-40. Wonder if they'll take 350?

Thermal runaway.  Grin

Very little tune capacitance on 80. May be in full parasitic oscillation mode, but with pegged grid meter over 5ma, I agree that it's placed in tune mode without a load.

Yeah, $350 is a good price, um hmm.

I made an 'offer'. Really low ball. This place is, I think, a consignment house.

The question is, Do I tell 'em watt they did, how I know and that they probably fried the 6146? Or do I say nothing? If "They" or the "Owner" are not honest, it would be easy to modify the add and then repost. But doing nothing isn't a better option either.

Watt would Tuco do?

Go for it at $10.  -  Fingerprint city.
Final might be ok if it's drawing 5 am plus and if the seller didn't leave it on to long.
