It's just the calm before the storm. 

They are predicting an "epic" snowstorm, 2 feet or more in CT.    I love snow - so bring it on!

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Quiet is good. It means more people are getting on the air, spending time with family, or taking care of other real-life chores instead of hanging out online. 'fone is a tool, not a lifestyle. Disco was a lifestyle, and look what happened there. Grin

Why, I even saw someone post that Don/KYV has been heard on the air lately. Hearing a big AM signal means more AM activity, which is always encouraging. And 'JJ is building stuff again, or rebuilding, or repackaging, or.....he's up to something, that boy.

The big snowstorm should provide a wonderful opportunity for folks in the northeast to get in some excellent air time. That's the one thing I miss down here, along with my woodstove.

I talked to Mike and this setup today for an hour on 15 meter AM. It sounded awesome. Very clean.  Really a cool aproach to AM.


By the way, its been 70 to 72F here with Blue skys.  Just played a round of Frizbee with the Golden retriever.. LOL.

High winds, rain, snow, sleet; sounds like a fun time; we still have tons of people down here with no heat, running water, walls, and only tarps for a roof. Shoot the groundhog!
