I have a Meissner 150-B transmitter for sale. I will be bringing it to NEAR-Fest in Deerfield, NH on October 11-12, 2019. It is mostly complete, but is missing the cabinet (& hardware), modulation transformer, 813 tube, and cables. It has a mod installed to allow for a modern microphone, but I don't know if it's complete. I am including pictures, and a link to a video that I made of the transmitter.
The Meissner 150-B is rated at 150 watts out on AM or CW from 160 thru 30 Meters. It requires an external exciter (VFO). It is a WW II era radio made by Signal Corps. With the cabinet, it would weigh 300 lbs. I have it separated into 4 units, plus the box of tubes, and knobs.
The three missing cables are the CA-703 Exciter Unit Power Cable, CA-704 Main Power Cable, and CA-702 72 OHM R.F. Line Cable. These can be home brewed.
I purchased it from a ham here in Vermont who was moving to a smaller house. I had already picked up some AM equipment at NEAR-Fest, but somehow this guy talked me into buying even more, after I contacted him on Craigslist. He was a builder, and I am more of an appliance user, but learning. I called the seller the other day, and discovered that he had passed away in April.
I'm hoping to sell it ahead of time here, and meet the buyer at NEAR-Fest.
