I recently picked up a very nice NC 2-40D receiver which seems to work okay except on 15 meters.  When I turn the knob to switch to 15 I can feel it drop into the slot but the problem is it seems to be out of position slightly.  If I move the tuning knob slightly as if to change bands I begin to hear the noise and stations I would expect to find on 15 meters.  This leads me to believe that the catacomb may be out of adjusted a bit.  Has anyone ever had this experience and been able to fix it?  If you have would you be so kind as to offer me some sage advice on how this might be adjusted?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need to pull the catacomb out and clean all the contacts that are under the tuning condenser. There are also pins that stick up frond the catacomb that should be cleaned. I don't know of any adjustment you can make to bandswitch/catacomb.
