ARRL Auction Ended November 2, 2007-Some Cool Items

2007 ARRL On line Auction is now over. Just like Ebay, some final bid prices were a head scratcher. Looks like most, if not all, of the "stuff" was sold.

In great condition 1930's Handbook went for $276:


EAGLES AUTOGRAPHED NEW STUDIO ALBUM – 2 CD SET went for $980.

There were many one-of-a-kind items in the auction. Joe Walsh, WB6ACU,
guitarist for the rock band the Eagles, donated an autographed copy of
the new Eagles album, "Long Road Out of Eden"; each member of the band
will autograph the album cover. This is the Eagles' first album of all
new material since 1979. The album had an opening bid of $50 -- 24 bids
later, it sold for $980.

Yeup, another thousand bucks from dear Joe, too bad we just choke up every time we have to remember he's an AMer, so let's just forget that part and give him a brick on the sidewalk.
