A non-profit group representing the wireless computer industry has filed an official protest to a petition from the ARRL, a non-profit publishing and subscription group, which seeks to remove measures that reduce the chance for interference that could be caused by "spread spectrum" hobbyist transmissions.

Our worldwide membership is a "Who's Who List" of companies involved in Wi-Fi technology and services. As an organization, we are working together to provide today's Wi-Fi consumers with high-quality products and services. Together we work to ensure that Wi-Fi devices work with each other to deliver the best user experience possible.
