WW2 Navy RAO-2/ CNA-46187 rECEIVER

Hello out there, i have a RAO-2 receiver on the USS Slater Museum ship that has a blown power transformer. Looks likeit's the same transformer thats in an nc-100, cannot find the center tap ratting, does any one know of an off the shelf replacement for it??, Hmmand e.t.c,

See Page 66, where T104 has Secondary 1 which provides 494vac CT at 0.055a.

I think I may have a 'real' Peter Dahl replacement for the NC-100 that was given to me by Joe, N3IBX(SK). Verify that is the case.

Those transformers were about as robust as a canary and many are defective now so it isn't surprising.  Rewinding services tend to cost more than the blasted receiver is worth.  It seems a good idea to get the wax capacitors and any leaky filter caps out before applying power.

Hope you can find a replacement for that RAO.  Junker quality NC100, NC200 and RAO have been appearing at the fests.  I'll be on the lookout for you.

Meaning it was actually made by Peter Dahl. Not a Hammond clone!

I have at least ONE National NC-101 that you can have to take the transformer from.
OUGHT to be the same as the NC-100.
Along with the rest of the radio...
...I will never use it (again).

Anyone else who wants one or two - just let me know?

Also w1DAN is known to have National parts...

Hello Gent's apoigies for not getting back to the list here, lot's going on at my QTH , the hammond solution looks great and jersey fest and near fest i will be on the look out for parts receivers too as we have other receivers on the Slater like it , when it it failed i had to say, I love the smell of burnt transformer in the afternoon thank you for your time and effort,
