A clever video production, not just a slide show of still photos.

Paul,

Interesting production and someone put some effort into it.  I find it interesting that the title page shows "Brand" Rock when the actual name is Brant Rock.

I have an article in which an OT requires some of his adventures as a young squirt with the Brant Rock station and also the folks running Massie systems.  It includes a photo of the rigger atop the tower.

Hi Paul,

Yes, a clever reenactment of the original event. Probably not historically correct to the last degree, but certainly close enough.

Fessenden's wife was also the first victim of mike-fright; she was scheduled to make a few comments on-air during this historic event, but at the last moment could not bring herself to speak into the carbon microphone located before her. It may have been just as well; if I recall correctly, Fessenden placed the microphone in series with the antenna feedline, so the mic was literally hot with RF, and he or any other speaker had to take care not to speak too closely, for fear of receiving a severe RF shock or burn.
