Death Socket
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: I built this device in the late 70's as a simple and entertaining way to destroy lazy tubes that were lacking in emission. By forward biasing these bad boys, they could be encouraged to haul current until their little plate structures sagged against the envelope. That twisted little 6CA7 all the way to the left actually still lights up. This device might actually be one of the very first video games!
