Description: This is the old basement station. In the left rack is a modified Viking One using three 6146B's @ 750 volts in the final and a pair of 811A's @ 1500 volts.  In the Spring of 2009 the Viking was transplanted into a 3 foot rack and relocated to the upstairs station. The rack on the right holds the homebrew transmitter which runs a 4-400 modulated by a pair of 833's. The plate voltage is controlled by the variac in the lower panel and tops out at 3000 volts.
