I was planning on going but it so happened my class reunion was on Saturday night. No chance I was going to make it on the road to be there by 9AM. Glad things dried out for the fest!

Only one power supply/modulator. Mic looks like one of those classic heavy Motorola hand held types. A cheap crystal microphone works best with the Thor.

  Yeah, only one power supply/modulator, but still, they're usually missing altogether, along with the interconnect cable. I figure that, upon a silent key event, family members and non-ham friends often don't recognize that very plain looking and heavy box—probably sitting under the bench in the dust— for anything important, and off it goes to the dumpster. I'm sure that many a Clegg Zeus, Thor Six, Gonset G76, and similar rigs have been orphaned from their respective power supplies and/or modulators in that way. I've got several examples of the Zeus, but only two power supply/modulators; likewise for a very nice Gonset G76. It's a shame.

Nothing lasts forever!

In looking at some of the prices in Nick's photos, it sort of reminds me of our days back in the 70's and 80's with old equipment. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing shortly, "For Free" - please take it away. As new generations roll into amateur radio, the interest in old stuff has waned.

I would be curious to know myself, I saw that transmitter for sale at the National Electronics Museum relocation sale early this year. Although it missing the modulator and power supply thought it would look good next to my 1938 Navy HRO and would have been willing to throw a hundred or two dollars at it even though it would have presented several logistic challenges, at the time had already bought a bunch of vintage computer hardware and a Canadian WS-52 receiver and all that was a truckload and that transmitter would require a second trip and a lot of issues in transport being it was around four hundred pounds. I was told they sold it for $500 at that time but don’t know that for a fact. The NEM also had a larger LF transmitter that as far as I know did not sell and got scraped. Something like a TBC or what ever that was twice the size and weight of the TBK.
The TBK had some big “fish bowl” tubes that would have been fun to play with.

Thanks for posting the photos. I attended Berryville this year for the first time since COVID. Great weather, nice people, and nice turnout as in years past. I picked up parts, tubes, a DowKey relay, and an EV-664 mic.
