This is sitting in a barn amidst many other electronic items, some older some newer. I am told it's not rodentified but it's pretty dirty. Anyway cats and other things around there eat mice for appetizers. It's said to be a Gates 10 Watt broadcast transmitter. There is an SO-239 on the back. The guy did not see a data plate but it was too heavy for him to move. I hope to see it soon.

Can anyone identify this diamond in the rough?

It is an early Gates FM exciter, packaged up as a factory 10-Watt transmitter for class D stations.

The station I worked for many years at started out in a college science lab basement with one of those.
