WWW
« on: July 14, 2021, 11:38:58 AM »

I will be at the Suzzicks hamfest with a table and a fair amount of good
quality gear, mostly receivers... tasty items.

I would like to meet up with as many AMers who will be there!

IF u would like, please email me or PM me, and we can swap cell phone
numbers! (seems like the best way these days)

The following will be there with me - any interest, PM or email!
(I'll hold it for you)

2 x SP-600 (as-is, not dead)
2 x National NC-100(think 100ax))
1 x SX-62 oggly but working!
1 x R-388 (working)
1 x SP-400 (good cond)
1 x HX-129x (new front panel, painted cabinet)
1 x R-392 (clean, as-is untested)
1 x HRO Sixty with 3-4 drawers, clean except for minor scratches on dial bezel)
1 x Clarke aircraft headphones

Hope to meet you there!

I will be there. Watching the weather; not the greatest, but shouldn't be a washout. Thunderstorms, maybe. Tarps, umbrellas, it'll be a great day.

Orange day-glow shirt; callsign on my hat; carrying black bag full of junk. Met you down there last time - 2019 - I'll recognize you.

And if it rains, well, some of the stuff sold at hamfests could use a good washdown. Come to think of it, a lot of hams seen at hamfests could use a good washdown as well.

I'll be there. I'll be wearing a blue denim shirt, blue jeans, and a hat with my call sign on it. That should make it easy to pick me out of a crowd of hundreds pretty much all dressed the same way  Grin.

Should be there around 8AM, God willing and the creeks don't rise. Leaving around 4-4:30AM. A bit of a haul from central PA. Looking forward to seeing the receivers Bear.

After a week of obsessively monitoring the forecast, I'm getting excited. Treasures await!

Looks like the least chance of T-storms will be in the morning on Sunday.

Weather Underground is slightly more hopeful:

Mercifully that's not likely to happen among the socially and hygienically challenged.

I did:
Found a nice Gonset power supply for my G76 - my best find of the day, and worth the whole trip.
Found a guy in the building with a whole box of very nicely made heavy filament chokes. Bought five.
Found a spare 3CX800A7 for my Henry 6 meter amp; those are getting scarce.
Found a 4-1000A for $45. Looks nice, but who knows? But for that price, couldn't resist.
Found a brand-new 4CX350, complete with socket.
Found two more "West Coast" handbooks for my collection.
Found a very nice looking Simpson 260. Battery corrosion inside, unfortunately, but it was $15.
Found a handful of AMers I've worked or heard over the years but never met. That was great.

Bear had the best selection of tube rigs in the place.
