The EL7144C was used as a MOSFET driver in Class D PA's. It is a Schmidt trigger limiter. I am looking for a supplier or a current second source equivalent. Thanks for any information. 73' Alan

Does it have to have the same pinout?

If 'NO' then use the now 'famous'? NCP81074.

This device looks like it would fit the bill. Although it is specified with a pulse input drive. I assume I either pre shape a sine wave input or slightly overdrive. Does the device function well with sine input? Thanks, Alan

Hmm. I took a look at the ratings.  Has anyone used these to drive a fairly big MOSFET such as an FQA11N90 with 2700pF of input capacitance?

Just curious.  The max steady-state current is fairly low and the internal resistance is not all that low.  Might work into a single device on 80 meters.  Not so sure about 40 meters, where the input impedance of the MOSFET would be in the order of 7 ohms.  Maybe.  Has anyone tried this?

Interesting !!

Regards,  Steve
