Brrrr- it's cold in the shack! Fire up the BIG RIG

WWW
« on: March 30, 2016, 02:53:08 PM »

tried to update my avatar several times.

Did not work.
Have the size under 100pixels wide, as far as I know, or is that 99pixels and under??

Would suggest that unless there is a present server reason, that this restriction be updated and changed. Nobody I think is still on dialup?? Maybe?? and besides, there are thumbnails all the time that are larger
than that...

Maybe as mentioned in times past, filesize and not pixel size?
or if pixels, maybe <200 x 200?? The software running the site scales it, right??

Maybe the board should get rid of all avatars and life would be easier.

Any reason not to "update" that spec?

They really do add to any forum type layout...

Think I was under this dimension, I'll recheck and try again - there may or may not be a bug.

Tnx.

Tried again:

Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information.

The file is ~12kb and it is 100 x 89, iirc.

See the file attached.
