pe1mph AM from Holland

« on: January 08, 2015, 10:38:17 AM »

Hello AM Lovers,

This afternoon I was just reading this in our livingroom:
http://downloads.dkars.nl//DKARS%20Magazine%20201501.pdf

While I was reading, I listen to the FM repeater on 29.620 fm New York.
Very, very weak signals I could hear...

Later I would check my email in my studio.
On the background the old Yeasu FT 901 DM were standby.

After checking my mailbox I walked to the Allbander.
I listen between 28.990 to +/- 29.100 ofcourse in AM!
On 29.030 I heard Jerry? talking with Mervin GW8TBG.
But on 28.990 I heard someone calling cq cq Ten!

I tried to get an AM qso.... and he heard me direct!
Time: +/- 16.10 hour by me in Holland.
So I had a nice talk with Jo WB8KRY on 28.990 in AM.
He had by me S2 - S 8 and good audio.
I were surpriced he heard me and I could not make quickly a recording, sorry.

Unbelievable.... a few AM stations qrv and I had a qso with low power!
After my qso I listen to Jerry K1GUP on 29.030 and made a little recording.
But.... but..... with my INDOORant. for Ten connect to the Yeasu FRG 7000!

Just I saw on Internet qrz.com and typing: WB8KRY!
'Thats far away,' I thought:

WB8KRY USA
Joseph E Saloka
10481 Clay St
Montville, OH 44064
USA

Enclosed a little recording form Jerry.

And just, 17.30 hour by me, I worked IW5EKR!
He was mobile on 29.000 in AM.... and got max. S4 by me.

Jo & Aldo thanks for the qso in AM! Cheesy

Greetings,

This past Sunday, 1/4, I worked Aldo on both 10 and 15 meters.

Good done Pete!
Yesterday it were the second time I spoke Aldo on Ten.
Evenso like our first qso Aldo were yesterday mobile.

Today again weak signals on Ten.
Now, 17.10 by me, I hear a weak signal on 29.000 in AM.
I listen & listen.... the voice sounding like Tim, WA1HLR??
Low S-points, between 0 to 2.
I can hear a man talking, but very difficult to understand.

Greetings,

Henk, pe1mph
