Boy, I hope that goes for a lot of money!
I have an original Heathkit box from a HD-422 noise bridge. I could be rich!
I hope nobody finds out I have an un-built Allied VOM in the original box. They'll be beating down the doors.

I think I'll ask the seller a question like, " Do you have the original plastic bags for da box??
This sale seems like an invitation for trolling

Real Ham Collectable

What ever happened to the awards that Hugo Gernsback used to give out to shortwave listeners?
I've never seen one of those surface, on eBay or museum. Would really love to see.
Surely some of those must have survived the metal drives of WW 2?

Don't have a mag with a photo to scan here, but you saw then in early Radio Craft and Short Wave News.

I like the '   Selling in "as is" condition   ' disclaimer.

I guess that means he can't guarantee that it is still a functional box.  Maybe he "has no way to test it"  Roll Eyes

I just hope the box is properly boxed for safe shipping.  I guess if he double boxes the box then the nothing inside it will be safely protected via triple box shipping.

Maybe you guys need to get out more. An Ebay search for "empty box" in all categories, turned up 84 pages of items being sold.

Here's one of 84:

I don't think we're the ones who need to get out more.

I'll ask the seller if he can build a felt lined and cushioned plywood box around it and then double box the whole thing for shipping.
