Post by: WC4D on September 26, 2023, 05:36:44 PM
I have what I believe to be a military GK 400 but I can't find any info about it or a picture just a manual and it's not even close to what I have. If I could post a picture I would but it won't let me .. HELP

Hi Don,
I seriously doubt you have a military GK 400. I have never heard of one and WRL never approached military standards in their normal design/construction that would come close to what the military expected.
But stranger things have happened. What leads you to think it is military?

It might just be a limited run or locally sourced job for MARS.  They used all sorts of gear around the globe (pun intended).

Hell, why not? I know that RME made some real big-a$$ed transmitters for MARS operation.

Yep, there is a world of difference between tactical military gear and locally-sourced and liaison radio gear.
