Title: Gates 10 Watt transmitter Post by: Opcom on September 27, 2021, 08:59:00 PM This is sitting in a barn amidst many other electronic items, some older some newer. I am told it's not rodentified but it's pretty dirty. Anyway cats and other things around there eat mice for appetizers. It's said to be a Gates 10 Watt broadcast transmitter. There is an SO-239 on the back. The guy did not see a data plate but it was too heavy for him to move. I hope to see it soon.
Can anyone identify this diamond in the rough? Title: Re: Gates 10 Watt transmitter Post by: ka1shu. on September 28, 2021, 06:47:38 AM Gates FM exciter

The station I worked for many years at started out in a college science lab basement with one of those. 73DG Title: Re: Gates 10 Watt transmitter Post by: Opcom on October 01, 2021, 09:33:34 PM Interesting! AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
