Title: Sonar 80 Monobander- schematic? Post by: VA3AEX on September 06, 2021, 10:25:55 AM I purchased a clean Sonar 80 Monobander rig. Unfortunately it came with no power supply, manual, schematic etc.. Can anyone help? I really would like to get it back on the air (even if on SSB).
As an aside I think at one point it was used mobile as its fitted with knurled nuts on either side to attach it to a under dashboard mount. I wonder how they solved the antenna issue - big loaded whip? 73 Alex VA3AEX Title: Re: Sonar 80 Monobander- schematic? It's the 4th post. https://antiqueradios.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=228571 facebook group: "FANS OF SONAR RADIOS" (no idea, no FB acct) https://m.facebook.com/groups/152806242095339 Title: Re: Sonar 80 Monobander- schematic? Post by: VA3AEX on September 06, 2021, 01:38:56 PM Thanks, I saw this post as well, and tried to email wd-12 several days ago but nothing heard. I’ve now posted a reply on that thread to see if that will spark something.

It's mostly CB radio oriented but a few of the guys in there are really up on Sonar equipment and have quite large libraries. It's worth a try to look into that group. Matt Bee may have some info.... He is / was big on restorations for people of older equipment. I believe he's a member of said group as well. --Shane KD6VXI Title: Re: Sonar 80 Monobander- schematic?
