Title: West Coast Stations Audible in UK Yesterday Evening Post by: G3UUR on November 07, 2011, 01:49:31 PM Sunday evening between 1800z and 1900z stations in the 6th and 7th districts were coming through here in Eastern England. They were all working other Stateside stations and I just couldn't break in because of the tremendous signal strength differential between my signals and theirs.
Today my contact with K0ETD in Tucson was tail-ended by Ken, K6CJA, in Wisperia, Ca. We had worked a number of times in Cycle 23, so were able to renew our acquaintance and catch up on the news from each end. Ron, K0ETD, was another one who I'd worked a number of times in the previous cycle. Still haven't heard any sign of WA3VJB, though. Where are you hiding, Paul? 73, Dave. Let's hope conditions hold for a few months over the winter and we can get a few more AM QSOs on 10. Paul, just to encourage you to get on with your dozen or so watts, I worked VE6CQ in Calgary yesterday and he was running 8W. 73, Dave. |
