Title: Johnson 500 P/S Terminal Strip cover
Post by: W5SUM on November 30, 2024, 06:07:28 PM
Good Afternoon
I'm trying to build up a terminal strip cover ( apparently missing off every Johnson 500 there is a picture of on the net). This cover will shield all the connection on the power supply terminal strip PLUS it covers the three pin plug carrying Plate and Screen voltage.  What I am looking for is a PICTURE of one, and IF anyone actually has one, basic measurements.
I'm not good with sheet metal and I'm sure it will end up looking like it was built by a drunk monkey with crow bar, but I need it covered.
The power supply will be under a desk and I have pets that I do not want to get ZAPPED.
Any help will be appreciated.
NOTE: I DO have the pin plugs cover for the RF unit.

my email is w5sum at yahoo dot com

thanks and 73
Ronnie

Attached is a plexiglass solution that the previous owner made for my Viking 500;

I knew I had this pix somewhere Ronnie....
Plexiglass would be a lot easier to make I expect...

Just resist the temptation to stick your fingers on any of those terminals back there.

3D print? I've seen some good durable pieces come from that when the operator knew what he was doing.
