As most of us can recall, the Fair Radio catalog was page by page, an "electro-fix" for lil' pubescent ham kids looking for surplus treasures.. I bought a Collins R-392 from them that actually worked FB!! Point is: WE, (as in "we" Amateurs), are now the "surplus" keepers of the gear that will keep the legacy on the air.. Fair radio has MORE stuff than we do, but OUR stuff is damn significant! Go down to your stash and take a look.. It's just like a surplus store is in your basement!!
