Title: Collins 18S-4
Post by: W9BHI on April 02, 2013, 10:47:08 AM
Anybody out here have any experience with the Collins 18S-4
tranceiver?
I can't find much documentation on line.
It looks to be a rock bound ART-13.
I have access to one but I don't want to make any capital investment unless I can get a schematic for making connections and possible repairs.
Any help would sure be appreciated.
Thanks,
Don W9BHI

A friend of mine has one up and running, imposable to find the rack and matching connector for it, have seen the control head for it once or twice but not that often. Also it uses little tuned circuits that plug in the radio for setting what band each channel is on and if you don’t have them you have to build them from scratch. Look at his web page:

And you can see everything about the radio.
