Title: Antenna Beautification Post by: W7SOE on August 01, 2010, 01:01:16 PM Unlike some of you I do not live in a rural area, I live in close-in Portland OR. And, unfortunately ;) , I like my neighbors.
Even though nobody complained I always though I could improve the looks of my antenna support. I bought sections of fiberglass mast of ebay, pretty cheap actually. That allowed me to run the feed-line down the center of the mast. Rich Title: Re: Antenna Beautification Post by: KX5JT on August 01, 2010, 01:31:42 PM Nice Idea... looks much better.

I assume you posted a before and after. Our creepy internet here takes forever to see the 1 meg file Fred Title: Re: Antenna Beautification Post by: KA0HCP on August 01, 2010, 10:38:13 PM Fred,
He has a dipole supported at the center by a large light colored mast. It is fed with black window line which is stood off from the mast about a foot with white pvc tubing. Definitely it wasn't a stealth installation. Title: Re: Antenna Beautification Post by: Steve - WB3HUZ on August 02, 2010, 08:57:13 AM HUZMan likes the new installation. It looks neater. I'm sure the RF performance of the two are the same, but keeping the neighbors happy is a worthy endeavor.
