If so - nice snag! Their old test gear has a very distinctive Art Deco look to it and fits in nicely with the buzzardly gear. With so much newer gear available so cheap these days, you definitely hafta love the old stuff to bother with it. Aside from some GR gear, I have some old stuff made by Supreme with wooden cabinet that is from the same timeframe. Nowhere near as cool looking!

I'm not too crazy about the red ones myself. My ant blew down in the windstorm we had the other day but I didn't find out until today. ::)
it's on the shelf as a future project. I fully plan on using it on the bench after the usual things are done to make it safe. I had one many years ago but found a new home for it at Dayton. All the pictures I've seen on the web, shows only the black knob version.

All 4 of the small Q multiplier knobs on my HQ-150 are that dark brownish-red-maroon color. The small selectivity knob on my HQ-160 is the same color. Hammarlund seemed to like using non-black knobs at times with the HQ-140 having a brownish colored knob set on the earlier models. |
