Title: 75A-3 Schematic?
Post by: steve_qix on January 30, 2009, 03:07:00 PM
Hi !

I have been looking EVERYWHERE on the 'net for a schematic of the 75A-3.  I can find A-4s, A-2s, but no A-3s.

Sure, I could probably pay for one, but really - all the others are out there, I just can't find this one !

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks and Regards

Steve

Hi Steve,

I have an original manual for the 75A-3.  The schematic is a fold-out, three pages.  If I scan each page individually, you could print and piece them together.  Would that work for you?  If so, what format file would you prefer, and should I post it here or email it?

73,
Rick

That would be perfect !!  I think I read pretty much any format.  As long as the resolution is preserved, I should be able to put it back together over here.

Someone else may need this as well.  I can make a .PDF of the materials I get from you (if you can't make a PDF), and post it on this site somewhere (need admin guidance here) for everyone's benefit.

I sure appreciate your help in this!

Regards,

Steve

Steve,

the schematic pages have been emailed to your email address on file with qrz.  If you could make the pages available to forum members as a pdf, that would be great.

Best regards,
Rick

OK, Pete, do you care to tell us where you found this?  Google was NOT my friend today.

75A3 has the most bogus bias set up I have ever seen. I had a beautiful one once too nice to modify so I unloaded it.

Boy, if you find another reasonably priced nice one let me know.
A Standard Products product detector simply inserted in the FM adaptor octal socket would have made a nice radio out of it.  - And a very broad AM filter could have been placed across one of the filter 'slots,'  simply say an .005uf loaded on each side by a 10k to 15k resistor.
As you know, the fun thing about these rigs with stable oscillators and beefy front ends is bringing out the IF to a panadaptor, or these days a SDR or Softrock, etc.

Pete, I see you pulled the schematic and the "see attached below" reference.
Problem with copying from the manual supplier?
I kind of wondered when you did it the first time.  ;D

when you revise history, you have to revise all the copies too, heh, heh.

Steve requested it and posted he got it. I saw no reason to keep it up there indefinitely.
