I have recently acquired a Western Electric 451A-1 broadcast transmitter and I was wondering if anyone out there has ever put one of these things on 160 meters. If so, I am hoping that they might share any words of wisdom they have about any problems they might have encountered. I'd also like to hear any general comments or other information about this transmitter. Thanks!! At least it has a nice viewing window to see the glowing pubes. I bet it sounds great!!! The 250 watters seemed to make good sounds in their day. Huge, heavy, overbuilt....still working. I know he's been preoccupied building a new house and stuff. Actually it's been a couple of years. Got the word that Ron lives in Montana now, so his isn't the particular Westinghouse I thought.
