Title: typical AUX aud-yo input level to stereo reciever? Post by: N3DRB The Derb on October 08, 2008, 06:14:29 AM I'm getting ready to drag the stereo reciever and Jensen speakers out to the operating position in the shack. before I reinvent the wheel, is there a good ready made audio pick off point in the FT 101 that is the right level for the aux input? I'm goin to snoop around he audio board but maybe someone has already done his out there in radio land. ???

Post by: flintstone mop on October 09, 2008, 08:55:38 AM Whatever lash-up you choose [ Mr DERB ] insert a small matching transformer for isolation reasons. Ground loops suck :o. Shadio Rack sells a nice 1:1 tranny for cheap and the Bogen WMT-1 is my favorite. Both of these transformers are available. AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
I no longer have stange EQ settings on my Class D 80M transmitter thanks to the matching tranny. Apparently the impedance match was so bad that it affected freq response in the transmiited audio and caused me to unfairly critisize Bruce's, (K7DYY) efforts. Fred |
