Title: D-Day for AM
Post by: Sam KS2AM on June 05, 2008, 03:47:52 PM
Now that I've got your attention ...

There will be a special D-Day event station this weekend commemorating the Normandy invasion and operating near the Pegasus bridge ( Ouistreham, France ).

When I noticed that they would be operating CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK I contacted the group and suggested that AM phone might also be appropriate for this particular event.  They agreed and they will be calling and listening on 14.286 AM +/- QRM on Saturday and Sunday.   So please give a listen if you're around this weekend.  Even if conditions don't work out its a good excuse to get on 20 AM.   See you there.

Make it even better if they would use some WWII era gear, like maybe a BC-610??
