Title: Be the first in your neighborhood with your very own F-15!
Post by: n4vgb on January 18, 2008, 10:28:04 AM
Got this link in an email from WB4AEG, RC model plane to the extreme!

WOW! That link came out a lot longer than it was in the email!

Amended with a new link that works!

I think most of the F15s are still grounded after one fell apart in the air.

Why bother with a dinky F-15 when you can fly the BUFF?

Video:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/10895.html?id=10895  (gamers site, but the sharpest video online)

Looks, flies, and sounds like the real thing. Right down to the way it crabs off the runway on takeoff.

Same plane sometime later:

Slightly different angle, but with better impact continuity:

Which looks remarkably like this one:

Here's a B-29 with X-1. Impressive, until the engines are started. Sounds like a swarm of angry weed whackers. Too bad they don't make big radials in this size. Keep an eye on mini-me Chuck Yeager.

Here's another:

Looks more convincing in flight, despite the single props.

Hey, these guys take their model aircraft at least as seriously as we do our radio gear. IIRC, the B-52 owner had $40-$50K involved.
