I've had more than one run-in with that guy.  When he ID's, he says his call "and AM is Trrrash".  A real imbecile, and someone you can't reason with at all.  From what I can tell, he is the designated leader of the group.  Kenny is one miserable individual that not only causes malicious interference to anyone near 3892 (AM or SSB), but has pretty much nothing else to talk about than "that AM Trrrash".

Without going into too much detail, this is one guy that needs to be taken "off the air" for good.

More precisely, call signs no longer have any significance at all.  I know nothing of the guy you cited but he was an 8, is now a different 8 and lives in California.

Look up my call for more useless information.  It looks like I didn't like my extra call so I bought a vanity call sign.

It says nothing about the fact that I got my Extra in 1986 nor that my "vanity" call was issued to me in 1955.  It expired so I was assigned NR9Q in 1986 but I changed it back to my original as soon as I could.

I think they need to put Prozac in the water supply.

Sounds like the guy needs an attitude adjustment. :-X

What Don did not mention is that this guy is the onetime leader of "the Alligators" all mouth, no ears, and a group that has had it out for anyone who would try to use their frequency.

I espied him at Dayton in 1976, and he's a miserable looking creature matching your impressions of him on the air.

Later thought he was dead, actually, but maybe only from the neck up.

huh-HA !

I became convinced (a few years ago) that a ham license has little or no significance a with the "watered down" Dick Bash exam system, even in spite of what the ARRL says.

I actually thought he had passed away a month or so ago since I hadn't heard him in a while.  I suspect he will be back in full force this Winter.  One thing he did mention was that he had the advantage since due to time zones, they could always occupy 3892 before any of us AM'ers in the mid south could hear each other.  He has a point there.  I would ask the you guys in the east make 3892 a good place to land, if you can get on before those Jasper's do.  They would have no legal recourse to interfere in that case, and might have to move off to another frequency in time.

This is another good reason why we should just go down to the low end of 75 meters to operate, however I've had my share of grief there too...

I think Kenny has a mental problem, or some sort of brain deficiency.  Many of you have probably heard him do his "Coo Coo" thing, in a voice higher than normal on top of other QSO's.  They all (the 3892 gang) act like they don't know who Mr. "Coo Coo" is, however it's pretty obvious to me after hearing him do it so many times.

He has no diplomacy whatsoever.  I've tried to reason with him before, about his rantings, and other things, however, he will not listen to reason at all.  Just keeps rambling, on and on, while getting all the rest of "his gang" to hate anyone on AM.

"Нас не догонят!" [They won't catch us!] -- t.A.T.u.

I sort of lost interest in the subject but your tag caught my eye....

"Нас не догонят!" [They won't catch us!] -- t.A.T.u.

What pray tell are you quoting and who is t.A.T.u.?

Hac looks like Latin but the rest is clearly cyrillic, i.e., probably Russian.

So, what does all this mean?  I am a word nut so don't take offence.

A Kenny Keifer story I recall some years ago when I happened to monitor him talking to some other idiot slopbucketeer, they were laughing about some guy who allegedly came on the air on slopbucket, with a bunch of n.o.s. pre-WW2 triode transmitting tubes that had been left behind by some OT who had kicked the bucket.

According to the story, which they thought was hilarious, the slopbucketeer would read off the tube type and announce it over the air, and then broadcast the sound as he smashed each tube, one by one, with a hammer, just to piss off AM'ers.

With the prices of those tubes to-day, if that dubious story really is true, I bet that guy thinks he did something REALLY smart whenever he thinks about all the riceboxes he could have bought with the money if he had put those tubes up for sale.

Yup... And he's basically in my backyard, often times giving me signals in the middle of the day over a 9 .... I heard Timmy on 3890 this morning, man were they HOT!!  ;D I don't condone intentional QRM'ing, but if I knew they could hear me up in the Northeast I might have "unintentionally" fired up, 'cause I know I am just as strong to them as they are me...

Yes sir....  Fine example of ignorance splattering the spectrum right there, and for further information, 'ole Punxy Jim, N5NWC and his Kenwood 680 can be found on Channel 24, 27.235 from time to time ON AM talking with a neighbor of mine just over the hill!!!!   :o

Yet this idiot finds the time on 3.992 to bash the AM'ers with his new found friends, and Mr. Nose Booger   W8NB....

Sorry if I offended anyone on the board.... But I have these thankless idiots in my backyard to listen to at 30 to 40 over 9 every night ....

'73's,
Kevin

I have a simple explanation for Kenny and others like him: they make asses of themselves on the air because they don't have the 'nads to do anything like it face-to-face.

If they did it at work, they'd get fired; at home, they'd get bitch-slapped. So, they turn on the rig to prove they're "real men" because they're afraid of their own shadows and can't face those they choose to annoy.

Bill,

You hit the nail on the head!  Cowards always hide behind something.  Sooner or later someone catches them out in the open and that's when the fun begins!

I think I might have seen him at the Dayton fleamarket one year.  Don't know for sure it was the same guy, but his vehicle had W VA plates; I heard him talking and his voice sounded like it might have been the same person.  He looked like the stereotype of a fat lazy slob.  He had a  cot stretched out next to his vehicle and when people stopped by to look at his junk, he never got up.  Just lay there on the cot as he negotiated with his "customers".

He had nothing of interest to me, so I didn't tarry, but I have often wondered if it was the same retard, but I wasn't interested enough to try to find out.  I had better cats to whip.
