I went to my local car dealership to pick up my loaner car. Mine is falling apart.....Out in the front parked along the curb was this intense looking Ford GT replicar waiting for it's owner to show up. The back window was just packed full of engine. On top was a serious business supercharger. The car was no higher than my chest and it will do over 200mph.

The new owner was on his way from Tennessee in his private plane to pick it up and drive it back at 6pm. I don't think he knows about rock salt. That salt is spread all over W.Pa. right now. He'll need to repaint the front end before he hits the Ohio border.
Now if you can spend that much for a car wouldn't you want to send it back in a closed car hauler? It seemed a shame to take it any higher than the 1.7 miles that were on it.

By the way......has anybody seen KYV?

I saw one in a Ford commercial the other day and was wondering how much they sold for ....now I know I can't afford one  Roll Eyes  the GT40 is a beautiful car! The one I saw in the commercial had a different, more "normal" paint scheme.. (Blue with white stripes) keep that baby garaged in the winter fer sure!

The closest I'll get will be the 1/32 scale slot car!  Grin Grin

If I remember correctly that is the paint scheme use by the Gulf Oil GT racing team back in the late '60s/early '70s which raced Ford GTs.

Yeesh.

After seeing this, I made the mistake of checking out the other Fords on Ebay.  Saw a sweet '99 Mustang ragtop that I was almost drooling over. Tongue

Just back from the dealership again, I happened to ask about the car. Turns out this guy has added this car to the collection of 8 repro GT's that he already owns.

Gotta hope he also donates to the poor!

Geez, for the cost of 8 repro Ford GTs he could get an original one!  Roll Eyes
