Here is another old bc tx saved from the graveyard. Not yet on the air, having problems finding these large resistors. Matthew KR4WI

Yes, It took some work to get it this clean. I used wesleys bleech white, tire cleaner after I took out all the iron, and the tubes. sprayed it down and rubbed it with some old rags, then took the water hose to it, I had to use a floor jack to put the pwr tranny back onto the bolts. I had a helper but we both could not get inside at the same time.  and painted the xfmers. Matthew KR4WI

Good ol' Westley's, the miracle goo.   Good you rinsed well, it'll leave a residue behind otherwise.

Terry PFY, all the retired broadcast technicians had one leg shorter than the other.

Question: Is the cabinet copper plated? I had a couple of older RCA broadcast boxes similar to this one and the whole thing was copper plated. RCA consumer grade stuff was known for being cheap but the commercial stuff sure was not cheap.

Hello Dave:  No, its not copper plated. thats interesting some of them was. Yea. I talked to a PE last week on phone, he said these where very nice audio rigs, and should last a lifetime if and when I get it working. So that is great to hear that good quality. Matthew KR4WI
