I don't know but I just finished down loading SP2 and the latest security down load.
The hard drive ran for a long time but everything seems fine now.

PCT 1.0 is not used with IE6 at all, and I don't think with XP service pack 2

PCT 1.0

Description:

Private Communications Technology (PCT) 1.0 is a proprietary protocol
developed by Microsoft and Visa International as an alternative to SSL
2.0. SSL 2.0 as well as PCT 1.0 have been deprecated in favor of SSL 3.0.
However, the PCT 1.0 protocol is still enabled by default as part of the
Microsoft SSL implementation, even though it is not commonly used.
