I just picked one up free.  Not worth restoring to original (lots of modifications, unoriginal parts, big holes).  Non-stock power transformer, broken and burned bandswitch, 2 additional panel meters (one for line voltage Huh).

So, I'm thinking of converting it to single-band 75m phone, build a 3760-3990 VFO for it, and give it to a friend so we can do the warm tubey AM yak thing.  Now, anybody got some nifty mods to improve the audio?  I read on a webpage that the stock audio is "poor".

I am sure you could adapt the DX-60 mods to that rig. There are several here: http://www.amwindow.org/tech/htm/mods.htm
