I'm putting this out for general information. I have come across a FREE 60 foot ROHN crank up tower. This thing has little to no surface rust, the winch works (I just lowered it for the owner) and would be a nice piece for someone who wants a real rugged tower for the transportation costs to their site. It's in a woman's back yard. There is a city park on the other side of the fence near the tower that should allow a crane to snag the thing and take it away. You will need to cut off the legs of the base & then weld together a new steel base to sink in your concrete. It's the type of tower that cranks down to 20 feet and also has a fold over hinged base. So sink a steel pole near the tower face & connect your winch or come-a-long to lay it right on the ground. If I was going to use it I would replace the cable and a few pullys but that's it. It's in pretty good shape for a freebie.

PS, with 6 strong friends & a case of beer you might man-handle it right over the 4' fence in the front yard.

Please contact the owner to view the project & make arrangements to snag it.

Don't wait, do it now while it's warm.
