Yes, many articles on the BC-BC-348 receiver, but worthy of an overview. The BC-348 is a very good receiver for AM and no issue with SSB. It actually outperforms these vintage Ham receivers per W1VD receiver tests.

I would only recommend the BC-348 models with antenna tuning. I believe the BC-348H, K, M, O, P, R have the antenna tune. All of these radios are the early more expensive build radios. They are called the GCT design. Being Mil-Spec design, the radios are rugged. I would replace the 120 volt power supply HV caps with 100uF to keep AC hum low. Use a HV dropping resistor if higher than 235 volts. 10x .01uF caps in cans should be replaced and 8x molded paper caps should also be replaced.

Its the Mr Carlson Labs stuff and three hours long but have been told a lot of people think its good. Have at least one Ham I know and respect tell me that he now wants a BC-348 and never did have a desire for one until after seeing it.
Its a Q in the video and they were always my favorite. No big fan of the older grid top tube versions.
