put together a short video of the field operations up at the Red Ball MVPA Show last weekend as part of the MRCA group, did do a low power back pack 3885 AM and quasi AM (USB+Carrier) that worked out well along with a sixty meter USB and RTTY net. We also played around with 144.25 AM with handheld and backpack radios. In the Video you can see an old TDT VHF AM transmitter that was first put out for sale for $100 but then was free to anyone who wanted it. Almost thought about taking it being it had all sort of useful power transformers, chokes and a huge modulation transformer but at around two hundred pounds was just a bit too much to deal with. It was gone by Friday afternoon.
