I am looking for coil information on the C454 1.5 to 2.0 Mhz tank coil. I need to know the turns count on each side of the main tank and the turn count on the moveable link. I have a C-455 coil which is 1.0 to 1.5Mhz. I will be taking turns off of it to bring it up in frequency to match a C-454.
I posted this in the military section also.
Thanks,

I think I have one handy. I’ll check if I do.

Ok, I checked my BC-610 and don’t have the tank coil you are looking for.
Sorry,

Ok, I misunderstood what you are looking for. I think I do have the 1.5-2.0 mhz coil and will get you the coil count.

Ok, the turns count if you don’t have it is 23 turns each side and six in the middle. It’s a shame to alter the coil you have. I would think there are more of the 1.5-2.0 and you shouldn’t have to destroy the one you got.

Couldn't you just short out the extra turs and leave them intact.

I’m sure that would work and if you did this on the lower part of the coil set, it wouldn’t be obvious.
