Everybody is in such a hurry!
Doesn't that TX have a timer to safely hit the HV?
In almost 60 years of broadcast engineering, I haven't had an arc-back failure. Eventually, they die but that is gradual and easily replaced.
Get them hot, then they last a long time.

The KWS-1 does have a timer for HV, but a delay does not make a difference on a rectifier filament transformers internal short and the transformer can fail. This is why I want SS backup and disconnect the filament transformer.
Collins Magazine Spring 1992. The 'KWS-1 care and feeding' article. It states the HV rectifier filament transformer is the second highest rate of failure. The highest failure is the choke. Mount on ceramic insulators and issue goes away.
