currently listening on 18,115 kHz on a webSDR, again.
two AM mode amateur stations.  same stations as a few days ago.
AM activity on this freq.

I hear two SSB stations talking politics

Pete, WA2CWA:
It makes no sense to operate AM on that band unless the purpose is to be annoying to any adjacent SSB or CW signals. The phone segment is only 58 KHz wide. Most vintage AM rigs don't even cover that band.
20 meters is on the downside of the 17 meter band; 15 meters is on the upside of the 17 meter band. Both of those bands give lots of room for AM and SSB signals.
